The Wonder Is Growing.

We never set out to build something big. We simply wanted to say yes to the kids God put in front of us.

What began with one camp in Southeast Missouri has now served 295 children over five summers. We’ve watched God bring together hundreds of volunteers, churches, foster families, donors, and community partners around one simple mission:

Helping kids experience the wonder of childhood and the love of Jesus.

And somewhere along the way, we began asking another question: What if there are more kids we’re supposed to say yes to?

In 2027, Restore The Wonder is taking its biggest step of faith yet. Two Regions. One Mission.

For the first time, Restore The Wonder will host two camps in two different regions of Missouri.

Southeast Missouri | This is where the story began.

For five summers, Southeast Missouri has been home to Restore The Wonder. It’s where people first believed in the dream, where churches and communities rallied around our kids, and where we’ve watched God do more than we ever imagined.

We’re not leaving Southeast Missouri. We’re continuing to invest in it, build it, and believe for even greater days ahead.

(August 9–12, 2027)

Kansas City | A new chapter begins here.

In June 2027, Restore The Wonder will welcome our first group of Kansas City-area campers for an unforgettable week at Heartland Center in Parkville, Missouri.

We’ll begin with space for 40 children and a brand-new community of volunteers, churches, foster families, and partners coming together to make it possible.

(June 7–10, 2027)

Why Kansas City?

This isn’t growth for the sake of growth. It’s personal.

Southeast Missouri will always be home to the beginning of Restore The Wonder. It’s where the dream became reality, where our first campers walked through the doors, and where a community of people believed in this mission and helped build it.

But in 2025, God moved our family to the Kansas City area to pastor Blue Springs Assembly.

We relocated our lives, began putting down roots, and quickly found our hearts becoming connected to this community too. And as we began to learn more about the needs of children and foster families throughout the Kansas City area, we couldn’t help but ask:

Could what God began in Southeast Missouri be multiplied here too?

That’s what makes this next chapter so meaningful to us.

Our family now has deep roots and relationships in both places. We love Southeast Missouri. We love Kansas City. And we believe God has given us an opportunity to build a bridge between the two through a mission that has always been deeply personal to our family.

Kansas City isn’t replacing Southeast Missouri. It’s multiplying what God began there.

The same mission.

The same heart.

The same commitment to safety and excellence.

The same belief that every child is worth showing up for.

Now in two regions. And We’re Just Getting Started.

We don’t know everywhere this story will eventually take us.

And we’re okay with that.

We want to grow carefully. Serve kids well. Protect what makes Restore The Wonder special. And keep saying yes when God opens the right doors.

In 2027, that yes looks like two camps, approximately 110 kids, and more than 200 volunteers. That’s a big step for us.

But we’ve learned over the last five summers that when people come together around kids worth showing up for, incredible things can happen.

Be Part of What’s Next.

Maybe you’ll volunteer. Maybe your church will get involved. Maybe you’ll help send a child to camp. Maybe you’ll become one of the partners who helps us build what’s next.

However you choose to be part of it, we’d love to have you with us.

Two Regions. One Mission.

More kids experiencing the wonder of childhood.

And we’re just getting started.
